A Quick Reminder About Buying and Selling the VEBE and VEEE Strategies

We want to send you a quick reminder about the way the VEBE and VEEE strategies work. As you might know (or not), these strategies are buy-write strategies that rely on options called at the beginning of each month and that expire at the end of the month.
If what I just stated looks like gibberish to you, it’s all right. Here is what you really need to know:
- In order to buy VEBE/VEEE tokens, the active period to do so is during the “Active” period for buying strategies which is the first seven days of every month. For example, if it is the 15th of January now, the status would be changed to “Active” from the 1st to the 7th of February.
- In order to sell VEBE/VEEE tokens, the active period to do so is during the “Active” period for selling strategies which is the last seven days of every month. For example, if it is the 15th of January now, the status would be changed to “Active” from the 25th to the 31st of January.
“Okay, that’s great. But what if you want to buy/sell out of this “active” period?”
This will still be possible. However, your buy/sell will be pending until the next “active” period opens.
This means that if you sell VEEE on the 16th of January, your transaction will be pending until January 25th.
“What if you buy a buy-write strategy during an “inactive” period?”
This will be possible but your order will be pending until the next active period. You will also be able to cancel a pending order. We are working on adding a button in the transaction history for clients that wish to cancel orders that are pending. While we implement that button, you can contact us at support@vegaxholdings.com if you have any issues with one of your transactions.
Please note that this matter only affects VEBE/VEEE. VDEFI and other non buy-write strategies won’t be affected by this active period and you will be able to buy/sell them at any time.
